Lexington, South Carolina, personal injury attorney Steven W. Johnson founded Johnson + Johnson Attorneys at Law with his brother, attorney Kevin C. Johnson. Who is attorney Steven W. Johnson?
Born and raised in Lexington, South Carolina, attorney Steven W. Johnson attended college at the Citadel, the prestigious military college in Charleston, South Carolina, where he graduated with Gold Stars – the highest academic award. Soon after graduating from the Citadel, Mr. Johnson married and started a family. At the same time, he also decided to work at an insurance agency. Along with wanting to learn the insurance industry, Steven chose to do such work so he could save money to put himself through law school.

Mr. Johnson attended law school and graduated from Charleston School of Law, which he attended with his brother, Kevin. While in law school, Mr. Johnson was an active member of the Business Law Society. Mr. Johnson was further selected to the Trial Advocacy Board, where he took home an individual award for outstanding professionalism during competition, and represented his school—alongside his brother, Kevin—at a National Trial Competition in which his team placed in the top ten. Mr. Johnson also received a CALI Award for the highest grade in his class. In addition to his studies, Mr. Johnson remained devoted to his faith and founded a weekly Bible study for law students. After law school, Mr. Johnson worked for a year and a half at a law firm focusing on criminal defense, family law, and personal injury. Soon after that, he started his own law firm in Lexington, South Carolina.

In 2020, Mr. Johnson was appointed to sit on the 11th Circuit Fee Dispute Committee, which helps resolve client-attorney disputes over attorney’s fees.
Mr. Johnson lives in Lexington with his wife and three children, and his commitment to Lexington and surrounding communities remains as strong as ever. In August 2021, he began serving his community as Chairman of the Town of Lexington Building Codes Board of Appeals.
